Visit to Danes Hill School

On Friday, I visited Danes Hill School in Oxshott. I had a chat with the Headteacher, Mr Murdock, and then spoke to the School Council, which is made up of 30 boys and girls between the ages of 11-13. I explained the three key roles of being an MP – helping individual people when they get in contact with me, championing the community as a whole in Westminster and representing my constituency nationally as an elected member of parliament. I then took questions for 20 minutes, covering a whole range of interesting areas from the honesty of politicians to the provision of local health services in Elmbridge. It was a great pleasure to meet the pupils – a very bright, curious and engaging group. danes-hill-school
