Last night, I visited the Hinchley Wood Mothers’ Union (HWMU) at St. Christopher’s Church. The Mothers’ Union are a fantastic local group, which form part of their larger international parent organisation. HWMU run a regular programme of events throughout the year, supporting the work of the parish of Hinchley Wood, as well as the wider organisation.
I spoke to the group about the role of an MP locally and nationally, including what I am doing to ease pressures on local school places, the opening of the Cullum Centre in Hinchley Wood (for autistic children) and the new funding I helped secure for our local air ambulance service.
The members asked me questions on a range of issues from international aid and Brexit to the local greenbelt. I want to pay tribute to Antonia Wilson and her terrific team. I had a really great evening chatting with the group over a cup of tea and flapjacks! You can read more about the HWMU here.
