Visiting Local Schools in Elmbridge

Today, I visited three local schools in Elmbridge – ACS Cobham International, Hinchley Wood Secondary School and Rowan Preparatory School in Claygate. As well as catching up with the schools’ plans for the future, it is a great chance to engage with local youngsters.

At Hinchley Wood School, I spoke to a group of Year 11 Sociology students. They asked how I got into politics, why I chose to join the Conservative Party, and what it is like to debate in the House of Commons.

Later on, I addressed Year 6 girls at Rowan Prep School in Claygate (as pictured below). They grilled me on everything from taxes and planning to Donald Trump and the UK’s Special Relationship with the US.
