Claygate’s Green Fingers

On Friday evening, I joined the Claygate Gardening Society for their second ‘Bring What You’ve Grown’ event. The event proved to be so popular last year, so it was brought back for a second year.

I had an interesting time reviewing all the wonderful exhibits, including the ‘funny shaped vegetable’ category (pictured below) and chatting to the ┬áparticipants and members.

My thanks to Linda Elkins for organising the event, and Brian Matthew and John Round for their expert judging skills.

The Claygate Gardening Society was established in 1950, and, alongside the Bring What You’ve Grown event, it puts on a number of informative talks with gardening experts and other events throughout the year.
