As you will be aware, Claygate station footbridge has been closed after faults with the structure were identified. Following this, we pushed for a temporary scaffold bridge to be installed to prevent a significant diversion between platforms.
I have remained in close contact with Network Rail to push for a timescale on when we can expect the footbridge to be repaired by. They have now confirmed that the works are estimated to start in September. I will be keeping in touch with Network Rail to ensure the footbridge is repaired as soon as possible and without delay.
Our Plan for Esher and Walton constituency includes improving local transport by securing better station facilities. You can read more here.
